Pool Rules
Due to the new Indiana State Department of Health
Swimming Pool Rules and the hiring of Indianapolis
Pool Management, Inc. as our all-inclusive pool management
company, the rules as we know them have changed. "
Note: Rule# 5, 8, 9, and 10 are State regulations
and not negotiable.
Foxcliff South Pool Rules – 2006 Season
1. Pool is available for use by members in good standing
of Foxcliff Estates
South, their family* and their guests, members of
Foxcliff North and
registered Associate Members. Members must register
upon entrance.
*Family is defined to the "third degree."
Example: Member, member's
children and member’s grandchildren.
2. Opening and closing hours for the pool will be
posted in the pool
area.
3. Swimming is only allowed when Lifeguard is on duty.
4. A guest fee of $1.00 per guest will charged upon
entrance. Guest(s)
must be registered and accompanied by member.
5.Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied
by an adult.
6. The wading pool is reserved for children ages 6
and under.
Supervision and safeguarding is the responsibility
of the parent.
7. Proper swim attire is required.
8. Diaper-aged children shall use plastic pants with
tight fitting
elastic at the legs and waist or swim diapers. Diapers
are not allowed in
either pool. Do not change diapers at poolside.
9. Showers must be taken before entering the pool.
Admission to the
pool will be denied to persons with infections diseases,
open sores, cuts,
bandages, diarrhea, recent vaccinations or ear infections.
10. Food and drink is restricted to designated eating
area. No glass,
food or drink is allowed on the pool deck. No smoking.
11. Flotation devices are allowed at the discretion
of the lifeguards.
12. Lifeguards have authority to close the pool every
hour for 10
minutes. No swimming is permitted while lifeguards
are not on duty.
13. Running, horseplay, spitting, swearing or unnecessary
roughness
will not be allowed in the pool, restroom or eating
areas.
14. Lifeguards are responsible for the safety, maintenance
of the pool
and rule enforcement. Lifeguards may eject anyone
for inappropriate
behavior.
15. Lifeguards are not responsible for vending machines.
16. Lifeguards will close the pool during inclement
weather. This may
include outdoor temperatures below 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
The pool will
close for 30 minutes after each clap of thunder and
for 60 minutes after
each bolt of lightening.
17. Pool parties must be arranged at least 2 weeks
prior to the event
with Association manager.
18. No pool party will cause the closure of the pool
to members during
regular pool hours.
